So your looking for your new Dallas apartment. And chances are you are probably using the Internet to help you sort through all your choices. You will be thrown with a whole bunch of great information, but how do you decide what sites to use. There are many great sites out there, but there are also some that you won’t find very helpful.

Unhelpful Sites

The worst types of apartment rental sites are those that simply provide a form for you to fill out. With the age of the Internet and the endless possibilities, there should be lots of helpful information.

What Sites Should Contain

Pictures are the number one requested item among renters. Pictures are well worth the time it takes to upload them onto a website. Renters can get an idea of what they might expect if they tour the apartment home. Can you really expect someone to take an apartment listing seriously if there is not photo?

A map location or the approximate area where the apartment home is located is another item that should not be left out.  Renters who are searching for Downtown Dallas apartments would want to search for Allen apartments. A good website will divide up apartments by area and show a map location too.

Pricing is another important items. Everyone has a budget and if a community is out of your price range, you probably would not want to tour.

Before you sign the lease contract with your apartment community you will want to be sure and ask your landlord some important questions regarding your lease.  The last thing you want to do is be confused by some of the language in the apartment contract.

1) It should be stated in the contract what your security deposit is. This is one of the most misunderstood portions of any lease contract.  A security deposit is usually held in case any damages exist in the apartment community after you move out. If you have stained the carpet in any way or damaged the interior, charges will be assessed. And if you have damages that exceed your deposit, the community may even ask for more. So you will want to discuss the security deposit with your landlord. If there are no damages when will you get it back?

2) What happens if you want to stay beyond  your lease term? If you moved in on an apartment special, your monthly rent may increase. Also there is language in many Carrollton TX apartments contracts that states you must give 60 days notice. That means even if you signed a 12 month lease contract you still must give your 60 day notice.

3) Are you responsible for water and electricity. Some properties will pay both while others are not responsible for any of these items.  If your community does pay bills it should be included in your contract. Good luck leasing Lewisville TX apartments.

You may believe that there is nothing to labeling your boxes for your move. But there actually is a method to the madness. And labeling your boxes in a meaningful manner will help you save time and will keep you extremely organized. You can make moving to your new apartment home fun and easy. And it makes the whole process very easy too.

Use Colored Markers

The best way to label boxes is by color and room. For example place all your items that will go into the living room in boxes and mark living room with a green marker. Likewise place all your items that will go into your bedroom in the same box. You can mark this box red. This will make unpacking easier.

If you decide to use movers you will just need to tell them which colored boxes belong in each room.

If you are moving plastic bags, trying placing colored ribbons or other various items to label each bag.  That way movers will be able to see exactly where your things need to go.

Use Box Labels

You can download and print labels right from your computer. Just apply on the boxes and write down which room the items belong in.  And then you will want to make sure that there is an adhesive on the back of the labels. You might even want to apply tape to secure the label on the box.
