If you have ever had your apartment home broken into, there are a few options you may have in order to make yourself feel safe. Recently a customer contact our firm at stated that her apartment home had been vandalized and she did not feel safe. She also had 2 children that no longer were happy in their current apartment home.

But what can you do as a resident if you are in the middle of a lease. Well you do have a couple options at your disposal.

1) Move to a new apartment home within your community.

Contact your apartment leasing agent and manager and let them know what happened to you. You may also want to file a police report. The apartment manager should be more than happy to relocate you to another unit on the premises. There are many stats regarding burglaries in apartment communities. We always recommend choosing a unit that faces the interior of the apartment community. Also you may want to choose a high floor. Burglars don’t like climbing stairs.

2) Ask the Apartment Manager if They Will Release You From Your Lease

If you have a manager who is understandable of your situation. He or She may allow you to move out of your apartment home without any penalty.  Simply arrange a face to face meeting with the manager and explain your concerns.

There are many great Addison apartments to choose from. Be sure and get the best deal on your new Irving apartments today.
